The Most Versatile Plaid Blazer Your Closet Needs

Nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing fellow blogger babes who have been my inspiration over the years work harder and reach new levels of success!
Latest to be added to this list is Chriselle Lim from The Chriselle Factor!
So when she announced earlier in March that she is launching her clothing line in collaboration with J.O.A., my excitement levels shot through the roof – Chriselle’s style is a mix of feminine and masculine, you will see her fuse in pieces that are poles apart together and magically make them work.
So that’s exactly what I was expecting to see from her collection and I have to say that I am truly impressed.

While the collection is themed ‘A Roman Holiday’ the outfits are perfect for Spring-Time. They have an air of careless abandon which I absolutely love.
But the one item that I adore and it has been something I have been wearing on repeat since the day I got it has got to be the – Plaid Blazer.

I’m a big believer in basics. They give you the power to recreate and reinvent your style – there is so much to explore when you have the right basics in your closet.
So my mind went wild considering the possibilities of just how I’m going to style it!

Here’s how you can too!
But first, shop my look below:

Casual Power Look
Your office power look just got refreshed with denim! Yes, pant suits are all the rage right now, and it makes you look SHARP but if your workplace doesn’t demand you to be overtly formal, why try?
Trade the trousers for comfortable jeans and trust me you will look like you mean business.

Flirty Fun Look
I cannot possibly be the only one who thinks short dresses are fun! Whenever I feel like painting the town red, my top pick is a short dress and long boots – it is a combination I can never tire of. So I’ve picked a flared dress from Nordstrom, and I have paired with (no points for guessing) the plaid blazer.
While the dress I’m wearing is free-flowing, the blazer gives it structure.

There are a very few items that I come to adore and love as much as I have this plaid blazer.
It is stylish and comfortable, just how I like it, and if this what Chriselle has brought for us with just her first collection, I cannot wait to see what else she has up her sleeves next.

Sharing some of my favorites from the collection!

Have you bought any pieces from the ChriselleXJoa collection yet?
If yes, what’s been your experience?

I’d love to hear more about it, maybe we can fan-girl together? I’ll be waiting to read your comments.
