Tis the season to get TRENDY!
Summer is soon approaching and I for one am thrilled to bust out my summer wear.
What’s more exciting about this season there is so much room to experiment.
Summer is the time to get bold with your fashion choices. This time I’m opting for Prints and guess what? I’m sharing with you the two prints that are both gorgeous and also the safest for you to try out.
Let’s get this Print Party started, shall we?
Print 1: Go Vertical
Let me begin by saying that if you are obsessed with looking taller, then you are missing out big time. If you are not wearing vertical prints.
Here’s what you need to do if you want to dress up this bold print.
The easiest way to style a vertical print is by choosing to go for a set instead of a single piece. When you buy a single item, pairing it with other items might get a bit confusing. But if buy a set, that problem is instantly solved.
If you’re worried that the print might make you look shapeless, this is true incase you have a very elongated frame, then add some drama with a waist belt. This will bring structure to your outfit.
This tip stands true if you are wearing too much of anything. In my case the top and pants are exactly alike, so to bring in some visual relief I have thrown in a fringe jacket.
I’m currently in my free-spirited boho zone, and I think this look completely showcases my frame of mind right now.
Stick to a dual color scheme. Vertical prints can get very overpowering if you are using a multi-colored outfit. So whatever colors you use ensure that you pick two main color families and then use shades from those two variants only.
In my case it’s black and brown.
Print 2: Snakeskin
Okay okay, I know you’re probably rolling your eyes at me right now thinking that this print is currently being worn to death.
But honestly, I think this print’s moment in the spotlight is much deserved.
It’s edgy and unabashedly cool, much like the women of today.
So I’m waiting for you to get on-board the snakeskin print express *woot woot*.
Let me show you how to do it right.
Snakeskin print outfits demand some edge.
Here you see me wearing a crop top with high-waist pants and a cardigan, the print blending in with each other and creating some complex visual magic.
When you’re wearing a busy print ensure everything else on your outfit is subtle.
Highlight your outfit and go minimal on accessories.
Large prints add volume, so if you have an athletic body, or if any section of your body you feel lacks volume, wearing larger prints will help enhance your shape.
So what’s it going to be for you darlings?
Would you opt for vertical stripes or snakeskin?
I wanna know which print made the cut for you.
