My Guide to Get Over Anxiety

Hi Darling,

Have you all been feeling anxious a lot lately too?
The constant information that we are used to is taking a toll.
Can you relate to it?

These days I crave some alone time.
Where I’m not bombarded with constant media communication.

Here’s what I have been doing to build a bubble of safety and sanity around me.

#1 Poetry Therapy

If you know me, you know how much a poem can cheer me up. I feel it has the potential to be powerful for nearly everyone.

There is a lot to be said about poetry. That being said, if you are someone who doesn’t like poetry, I would urge you to give it another try.

Here are some of my favorite poets whose work you can read too:

Cleo Wade – Heart talk: is a moving collection of poems, provocative thoughts that can open your heart and mind to different possibilities.

Atticus – have been following him for a long time on Instagram – his poems leave these warm, fuzzy feelings.

Rupi Kaur – She’s the queen of modern poetry and you know it.

#2 Positivity Therapy

Surround yourself with literature that uplifts you.
This book, the daily promise has been so insightful.
It’s easy to read and comprehend and gives you useful tips to navigate through all the daily issues that something overwhelms us way more than it should.

#3 Music Therapy

What I also love to do is to go off by myself, to the park near my apartment or the beach and sit by myself. Play some instrumental music and get to reading.
It’s a beautiful way to cut yourself off from the world, and delve deeper.

Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of people pick up new hobbies or rediscover old ones – I recently started playing the guitar. Next time, send me a request *winks*

All in all, do what works for you darling.
Do what sets your soul on fire and makes you happy.
Create that bubble and step into it from time to time to make yourself sane.
Lord knows we all need it.
