You may have noticed that I’ve been a little MIA here and on social media lately and even though I already talked a little bit about it on Instagram I wanted to come over here and talk about what has been going on and how I’ve handled it. After all, blogging and you guys are a really important part of my life and I want to share not only the pretty side of things but also times when things are a little bit more difficult.
I feel like social media has led us to believe that people’s lives are always perfect when the reality is that we all struggle in different ways.
About a month ago a series of events started affecting my personal life, I went through very difficult situations that are still pretty much present in my day-to-day life and I’m still learning how to deal with them. All of this led me to struggle with my mental health and my relationships with important people in my life.
For a while I decided to take a break from everything, I didn’t really know what to do and shutting down felt like the only option at the moment. As I slowly started to assimilate everything I realized that there is only one way to recover from things and that is moving on. It sounds easy, but it’s one of the most difficult things I’ve done.
It’s been a journey and I’m still not completely there, but I’ve slowly tried to get back on track, go back to my routine, do the things I love, start exercising again and most importantly, work on my mental health.
